Now that I’ve gone, release me, let me go. I’ll be alright, and you will too, just believe that it’s so. You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears, Be happy we had these years. I know you’ll miss me from being around, Just think about the joy, happiness, and love we found. Thank you for the love you each have shown, Without me being in your lives you might not have known. How important it is to love each day you live, And how much more love you get back the more you give.
Now that I must travel on, cry for a while if you must. But let your tears be comforted by trust. I won’t be far away, for life goes on. Remember I love you, Trust in God, he’ll help you along. Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near. If you trust in God, you’ll feel my love around you clear. And when you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a smile and a “Welcome Home”.
